When I had shoulder replacement surgery right before Christmas I was too busy to think much about the agony of not being able to paint. As soon as the holidays were done I knew I needed a kick start to motivate me to use my left hand, my non-dominant hand, in the studio. So I signed on to paint 30 paintings in 30 days...and while it was a blog challenge, I dared go public! Nothing like a little pressure.
"Tulip Time"
Tulips are my absolute favorite flower...do you know the stems continue to grow even after they have been cut? Place them in a vase and you will have to rearrange many times while they track the light and grow.
7" x 5" water color on paper
matted to size of 10 x 8, to fit easily in a standard frame of your choice.
So here is my painting on day #2 of the 30 day challenge. I like its simplicity and simple reminder that it doesn't take a lot of fru-fru to make nature stand out in glory.
A perfect gift for Valentine's Day, guaranteed not to fade!
